Focus Area

Make a difference in the lives of young learners with our M.Ed. in Special Education program, focusing on early intervention. You’ll be well prepared to identify and address the unique needs of children with disabilities from birth to age 8. Gain practical skills in assessment, intervention, and family-centered practices to promote early development and learning outcomes for children with special needs.

  • Satisfactorily complete and present a capstone action research project.
  • Must have a valid teaching certificate (i.e. currently active or have had an active certification in the past).
  • Field experiences in diverse settings
  • Be recommended for the degree by the student's major professor
