ALAS (Association of Latin American Students) is an organization dedicated to empowering the Latin community through education, leadership development, and community engagement. Its purpose is to promote cultural pride, academic achievement, and professional growth by providing resources, mentorship, and opportunities for individuals to succeed in various aspects of their lives. ALAS fosters a supportive environment to celebrate Latin heritage while addressing challenges within the community, such as access to higher education, career advancement, and representation. Through networking, events, and advocacy initiatives, ALAS aims to build a strong, connected, and thriving Latin community.
ALAS member must have an active membership: students must be active members of ALAS throughout the academic year. Participation requirements: members must earn a minimum of 15 club points by actively participating in organization meetings, events, and activities.

The purpose of this organization shall be for students to assist Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) to inform students, parents, alumni, and other stakeholders about the benefits of being a major in one of the departments within the CNHS. Ambassadors work as a team to be spokespersons for recruitment, marketing, social media campaigns, and to plan events to enhance the student experience in the CNHS
Any graduating senior in good standing with the organization is subject to a stole.
The style of the adornment shall be a stole. The color will be white with a yellow rim going along the edges. On one side of the stole shall be College of Nursing and Health Sciences logo with “AMBASSADOR” beneath it. Above the College of Nursing and Health Sciences logo shall be the official Southeastern shield logo. All graduating executive board members will have their official position on the opposite side from the logo.

The Honors Program rewards students for their hard work in honors courses and their involvement in honors programming.

The Honors Student Association will offer a space for like-minded students to gather and discuss factors that affect Honors students and Southeastern Louisiana University students as a whole. This organization strives to provide SELU Honors students with information about the many resources available on campus and offer them settings of a social, community service, and academic nature.
The student receiving the adornment must be an Honors student at SELU, a member of the Honors Student Association for at least four consecutive semesters, paid their membership fee each semester, and attended more than 50% of the meetings for each semester.

Lavender Lions is an organization centered around providing LGBTQIA+ students and their allies community and education.
This award is for those who have served as the President of Lavender Lions. A tradition which honors the roles unique dedication and commitment. Each stole measures 36″ long by 5″ wide. It has a V neck with the base color being lavender. Rainbow colors sewn on both sides of the sash.

The Southeastern Louisiana University Student Nurses Association is an organization comprised of nursing students with a primary goal to aid in the development of the individual student of nursing as a future health professional and to be aware of and contribute to the improvement of health care of all people. This goal is inclusive of the following major components; however, is not limited specifically to these: Mentors students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, as well as those enrolled in baccalaureate completion programs. Conveys the standards and ethics expected of the nursing profession. Promotes the development of the skills that students will need to acquire as responsible and accountable members of the nursing profession. Advocate for high-quality, evidence-based, affordable health care for all individuals. Advocate for and contribute to advances in nursing education and research. SCEC is a non-profit organization that serves individuals with special needs as well as their families. SCEC sponsors activities such as a Fall dinner and dance for the OPTIONS clients and local group homes and works alongside other local organizations to serve and aid individuals with exceptionalities and their families in the community.
The student has to be in good standing in our organization and with Southeastern Louisiana University.
Good Standing:

Our national organization, the Council for Exceptional Children, provides a cord for graduates who are within good standing of the chapter as well as nationally recognized.
