Psychology

Minor

Psychology is the study of human thought, behavior and emotion in all aspects of our functioning. As such, it is an excellent complement to many fields of study. The Psychology minor requires 18 hours of Psychology courses. These must include PSYC 1010 and PSYC 1020 and at least 2 courses (6 semester hours) at the 3000- or 4000-level. The other 2 courses (6 semester hours) can be at the 2000, 3000 or 4000 level. This allows students to tailor the courses to whatever will be most helpful in their future careers. For example, Organizational and Industrial Psychology courses are a good choice for those pursuing careers in business, while Psychology of Infancy and Children is applicable to a variety of future pursuits.
