While I have an interest in all of the Earth Sciences, my specific research interests include Louisiana subsurface geology and groundwater geochemistry of South Louisiana. My master's thesis research at LSU focused on the surface and groundwater geochemistry of the Mississippi River and the surrounding alluvial aquifer system. After studying the spatial variations in salinity and geochemical tracers such as bromide, it was concluded that the source of elevated salinity in this system is salt dome dissolution and not from seawater encroachment.
