Chemistry and Physics
Southeastern's chemistry and physics programs prepare students for careers in industry; as well as for graduate studies in chemistry, engineering, and physics; or for medical, pharmacy, or law school.
Students in the chemistry and physics programs gain the knowledge and technical skills needed for their disciplines as well as skill in analytical thinking and problem solving. They also develop the traits of good scientists: persistence, creativity, meticulousness and self-confidence.
The chemistry program is certified by the American Chemical Society
Only department in North America to have undergraduate students perform contract work for the industry through the Student Entrepreneurs as Active Leaders (SEAL) program
