The Chemistry B.S. program offers a curriculum with three concentrations (Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Interdisciplinary) and a Chemistry/Chemical Engineering dual degree program in partnership with LSU. The Physics B.S. program offers a curriculum with three concentrations (Physics, Engineering Physics, and Applied Physics) as well as a Physics/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering dual degree program in partnership with LSU and a Physics/Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering dual degree program in partnership with UNO.
The department also provides undergraduates with research opportunities as part of active programs in both chemistry and physics. Almost all of the chemistry and physics majors participate in some form of research.
The chemistry program is certified by the American Chemical Society
The physics program has been approved to offer a concentration in Engineering Physics
