Amy PratsAmy Prats is an instructor at Southeastern Louisiana University where she is the director of the University Chorus/Northshore Choral Society and teaches undergraduate conducting, voice, and serves as a music education instructor for the University. Mrs. Prats is also the assistant director for the Northlake Performing Arts Society in the Covington area.

Ms. Prats was previously the Director of Choirs at Ponchatoula High School and Destrehan High School where her choirs were consistently awarded superior ratings. For three years she held the position of Southeastern Music Festival Choir Director and Vocal Area Coordinator for the Southeastern Louisiana University Summer Music Festival. Additionally, she taught for five years as a Professional Voice Instructor for the SLU Community Music School and currently teaches privately in the Covington area. Ms. Prats frequently serves as an adjudicator for local music festivals and as a guest clinician for honor choirs throughout the Southeastern Louisiana region.

Ms. Prats completed her Alternate Certification in Music Education at SLU and was awarded the highest honor, Exemplary Alternate Certification Student. Ms. Prats holds a Masters of Music in Choral Conducting from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She is currently serving as President for the Louisiana American Choral Director’s Association.
