Migration from Peoplesoft to Workday Student

February 22, 2022

As you know, Southeastern has been in the process of migrating our campus ERP system from PeopleSoft to Workday, and effective January 2021, Human Capital Management (HR) and Financial Management successfully moved from PeopleSoft to Workday.

In addition to HR and Financial, the adoption of Workday Student will result in an advanced ERP system for our University that is responsive, user-friendly, and technologically advanced.  I am pleased to report that efforts toward implementation of the Workday Student module commenced last month.

Along with Louisiana Tech University and the University of New Orleans, the other UL System institutions currently migrating to Workday, Southeastern has engaged Accenture LLC to assist with the implementation of Workday Student.  Accenture is the nation’s leading Workday service provider to the higher education market with over 65 Workday college and university clients, and we are confident they will provide strong and effective guidance throughout the implementation of Workday Student.

Given the pervasive nature of student records and registration processes, Workday Student implementation will impact all departments across the University.  Project coordination for Workday Student implementation will be led by Dr. Kay Maurin, Chief Enrollment Management Officer, and John Foster, System Analyst and Workday Student Project Manager for Southeastern.  I ask that you give them your full cooperation as we move through this final phase of the Workday implementation process.

Thank you,

John L. Crain
