2012 Distinguished Alumnus: Calvin Fabre
Calvin Fabre of Baton Rouge is the founder and president of the software firm Envoc. With
locations in Hammond and Baton Rouge, Envoc is an innovative, corporate software development firm
that specializes in writing customized software specifically tailored for a business’s
unique needs.
A 1990 Southeastern computer science graduate, he began his career writing software
for offshore, deep-water oil rigs in harsh environments. At Envoc, he leads a 16-person
creative and software development team. Fabre works closely with the university’s
computer science and business programs and is serving as chairman of Southeastern’s
Advisory Board for Engineering and Computer Science. He is an active member of the
Chambers of Commerce in Baton Rouge and Hammond.
