Marcia and Cameron Barr

Marcia Comeaux Barr and the late Cameron Barr met on a blind date while attending
Southeastern and were a couple ever since. They have been strong supporters and advocates
of their beloved Southeastern and their fraternity and sorority, Sigma Tau Gamma and
Alpha Sigma Tau, since graduating and moving through their respective careers.

Marcia and Cameron have both shared a strong commitment to the value of education.
They established numerous scholarships, including the Marcia C. Barr Endowed Scholarship
in Kinesiology, the Marcia and Cameron Barr First-Generation Endowed Scholarship,
the Thomas & Virginia Barr Endowed Scholarship in Athletics, the Sigma Tau Gamma Alumni
Association River Bell Classic Endowed Scholarship, the Marcia & Cameron Barr Summer
School Aid for Athletes Endowed Scholarship, the Thomas H. Tedder, Jr., Endowed Scholarship
in Education and the Marcia & Cameron Barr Capital Campaign for Southeastern.

They have supported, both financially and through their extensive volunteer work,
the Alumni Association, the Southeastern Foundation, the Lions Athletic Association
and nearly every sports team that Southeastern has. Cameron was former member of the
Alumni Association, and former president of the Lions Athletic Association. Marcia
currently serves as secretary on the Southeastern Foundation Board of Directors.
