Learning Sessions

The Tinsley Learning Center offers a variety of academic resources including Tutoring and Peer Assisted Study Sessions.

Tutoring Sessions are designed for problem based courses such as math, chemistry, physics, and accounting. 

Peer Assisted Study Session or PASS are designed for lecture based classes such as biology, history, and social sciences. If you need to improve your study techniques then a PASS is definitely what you need. Students are encouraged to bring their course material to a session. During a PASS, students are actively engaged in creating study materials.

Tinsley Learning Center Attendance Policy

Due to the limitation of tutoring spots, clients are allowed three (3) unexcused absences during a semester. If a client has 3 unexcused sessions, the remainder of their sessions will be suspended for the rest of the semester. A client can cancel or reschedule an appointment 12 hours prior to the scheduled session. In the case of an unexpected illness/emergency, the client will contact the Tinsley Learning Center to cancel or reschedule their appointment. Clients must provide documentation, including a brief explanation to determine an excused or unexcused absence.
