Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies

Welcome to the Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Southeastern, one of the largest academic departments of its kind in Louisiana. We are home to more than 1000 students studying Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Health and Physical Education, Health Sciences, and Sport Management.

Department Highlights

  • Facilities include teaching / research laboratories for exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, motor behavior, athletic training, and aquatics.

  • Programs include internships and clinical experiences to gain real-life experience.

Dugas Center to undergo renovation and expansion

Southeastern Louisiana University has partnered with North Oaks Health System through a sponsorship agreement on a project, which will include a major renovation and expansion that will enhance its sports medicine, academic, and athletic facilities, ultimately creating the North Oaks Health System Academic and Athletic Complex.
