Welcome to the Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Southeastern, one of the largest academic departments of its kind in Louisiana. We are home to more than 1000 students studying Athletic Training, Kinesiology, Health and Physical Education, Health Sciences, and Sport Management.
Facilities include teaching / research laboratories for exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, motor behavior, athletic training, and aquatics.
Programs include internships and clinical experiences to gain real-life experience.
Annual ASK KHS Conference provides interaction with regional professionals in careers associated with our fields of study.
Faculty Profile
Ryan Green, associate professor and program director for Athletic Training, is dedicated to shaping the next generation of health care professionals. With a passion for hands-on learning, he helps students excel in both traditional sports and diverse fields like law enforcement and performing arts.
