Alice B. Gibson, MA, is an Instructor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Southeastern Louisiana University. Since 1999, she has taught a variety of courses, including Health and Human Sexuality, Drugs and Society, Women's Health, Worksite Health Promotion, Health Communications, and Foundations of Public Health. Her expertise also extends to community health education, having previously worked for North Oaks Health System from 1997-1999. She holds certifications in Mental Health First Aid and "Talk Saves Lives". Gibson is an active member of the university community, serving as the Faculty Athletic Representative and a Faculty Senator. Her research interests and publications include work on self-efficacy and physical activity. She has been recognized with the President's Award for Excellence in Teaching and is the co-author of Human Sexuality: A Self-Exploration Workbook.
