Alysia C. Anderson is an instructor in the Department of English and World Languages, where she teaches Freshman Composition and American Literature. She earned her Master’s degree in English and Bachelor’s degrees in history and sociology from Southeastern Louisiana University. Her teaching focuses primarily on Southeastern’s Dual Enrolment Program, where high school students earn college credit. She also currently serves as faculty advisor for The Pick, Southeastern’s student academic journal. In her spare time, Ms. Anderson is a writer, focusing on historical fiction. Her short stories have been published in Tulane Review, Louisiana Review, Pure in Heart Stories, and Country Roads Magazine. She is currently writing her first novel set during World War II.
