Amy Fontenot, M.F.A

Amy Fontenot is an Instructor in the Department of English and World Languages whose teaching focuses on writing as both a craft and a tool for critical thinking. She teaches Composition and Literature courses designed to help students develop rhetorical awareness, strong analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of how writing functions across academic and public contexts. She holds an MFA in Writing from Lindenwood University and is completing an MA in English Literature at Indiana University, where her studies explore the intersections of writing, rhetoric, and pedagogy. She is passionate about creating supportive learning environments that foster creativity, confidence, and critical engagement.
