Dr. Kemp is a highly active scholar, educator, and the Department Head for Marketing and Supply Chain Management at Southeastern Louisiana University. She has played a pivotal role in the growth and national recognition of Southeastern’s Professional Sales Program—helping to spearhead new academic offerings, securing funding and grants to establish a state-of-the-art sales lab, and launching an Industry Sponsor Partner Program that generates annual revenue to support the program. Under her leadership, the Southeastern Professional Sales Program has achieved multiple Top-10 national finishes, including a Top Role-Play Winner at the International Collegiate Sales Competition.

Beyond her work with the sales program, Dr. Kemp regularly presents at leading conferences such as the National Conference in Sales Management, the Society for Marketing Advances, and the American Marketing Association. She has earned numerous honors—including the Victor Gene Pregeant Influential Educator Award, the L.E. Chandler Award for her impact on students and student organizations, and recognition in Edge of the Lake’s “40 Under 40.” As Coordinator of Southeastern’s Professional Sales Program and Department Head, she continues to innovate sales curriculum, secure significant funding, lead student teams to national success, and serve in leadership roles within academic organizations while mentoring students and contributing to university and community initiatives.
