Her contributions through these organizations are community-based, such as encouraging donations to the food pantry and kickstarting a new community program on campus through which students can donate gently used or new clothes for students in need. Her passion for helping the community and students has poured into the classroom. Previously, she has worked at middle and high schools teaching English, Math, Biology, and Physical Education as well as being a Resource and Inclusion teacher for Special Education. Her goal each semester in teaching English 1010 and 1020 is to foster critical thinking skills and help students achieve lifelong learning skills that will be beneficial to them in their future careers. Her goal in English 2320 and 2310 is to foster a love for reading and understanding other viewpoints.
