Mr. Riley “Bo” Trisler is an instructor of history at Southeastern. He specializes in the American Civil War, Masonic history, and America's involvement in the first and second world war. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 2017 and Master of Arts degree in 2020 from Southeastern Louisiana University. He teaches the intro courses in Western Civilization and American history. He also teaches American History from the colonial period to the age of compromise.
In 2020 he started a podcast called Home Brew History that is internationally recognized. The podcast has global listeners from Britain to Australia. It has featured leading historians in the field: including Dr. Craig Symonds, Dr. Jeremy Black, Dr. Peter Caddick-Adams, and James Holland.
Mr. Trisler started his love for history by studying the American Civil War. Through education that love has expanded across human history. The second world war became an area of special interest, especially with the amount of second world war historians that home brew history featured.
