Duos is an instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences at Southeastern Louisiana University where she teaches courses in introductory biology and medical microbiology. She holds a Masters of Science in the Biological Sciences from Southeastern Louisiana University and completed her Doctorate in Educational Leadership in Fall of 2025. Previously, she worked as a molecular scientist for several research institutions and an environmental firm, during which time she authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and developed a patent.
