Dr. Daniel Webre is an Instructor of English and World Languages specializing in Fiction. He holds an MFA in creative writing from McNeese State University and a PhD in English with a creative writing concentration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He teaches freshman composition and a survey class in world literature. He has also taught American literature. His short stories have been published in a number of literary journals. Before turning his attention to writing and literature, he was a chemist with degrees from Duke University (BS) and Princeton University (PhD).
Area of Expertise
Fiction, with a focus on writing flash fiction and short stories. He also has an interest in science, nature, and environmental writing. His graduate and professional work as a chemist centered on analytical chemistry, protein biochemistry, and bacterial chemotaxis.
