Dardis has served on the faculty of SLU for over 43 years and is currently an associate professor with a professional focus on undergraduate science education and the interdisciplinary professional development of K-12 teachers. Dr. Dardis has published and presented a variety of works dealing with multidisciplinary curriculum development and instruction in the middle, secondary and university classroom. She has also written, directed and/or contributed to over three million dollars in grants during her tenure at the university. Her most recent project, CREATES – Creating Environmentally Actives Teachers and Students, involved a NOAA funded environmental initiative focusing on teacher professional development and curriculum development and implementation. Dr. Dardis currently serves as a year-round volunteer for Samaritan’s Purse, as a grant writer for Face It! Ministries, and is a member of several university committees.
