Education:
Merino earned a BS in Mathematics the University of the Philippines, a MS in Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University, and a PhD in Mathematical Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University.
Teaching Focus:
He has taught Trigonometry, Statistics, Business Calculus, the Calculus series, Discrete Mathematics, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra (I and II), and Coding Theory.
His research interests are in matrix factorization including Lie groups and Lie algebras. He is also interested in sums of special matrices.
