Department of English and World LanguagesDominique Barbee is an Instructor in the Department of English and World Languages. She holds an MFA from the University of South Carolina. She specializes in Creative Writing, with a focus on poetry. In her work, she explores the intersections of the environment, natural and man-made disasters, gender, language, and the body. Her primary areas of interest are Modernist and Southern Literature. She teaches English 1000, English 1010, English 1020, and English 2320: American Literature. She teaches both in-person and dual enrollment courses. She is the winner of the Hicks Prize in Poetry.
