Dominique Barbee is an Instructor in the Department of English and World Languages. She holds an MFA from the University of South Carolina. She specializes in Creative Writing, with a focus on poetry. In her work, she explores the intersections of the environment, natural and man-made disasters, gender, language, and the body. Her primary areas of interest are Modernist and Southern Literature. She teaches English 1000, English 1010, English 1020, and English 2320: American Literature. She teaches both in-person and dual enrollment courses. She is the winner of the Hicks Prize in Poetry.
