Emmanuel Kuada is an Instructor in the Department of English and World Languages. His teaching philosophy and work are situated at the intersection of writing theory, rhetorical theory, and writing practice. He utilizes different frameworks of literary theory to evaluate and interpret African American literature, focusing on author, text, and reader in the process of interpretation. Emmanuel Kuada received the International Scholars Award from the University of Notre Dame and African American Scholars Award from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
