Eric Huckabee is a visual artist and educator living in Waveland, MS. He received an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 2011, and a BA from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2009. His work has been exhibited across the United States, including shows at Gross McCleaf Gallery in Philadelphia, Prince Street Gallery in New York, The Satellite Show Miami, and Studio Waveland.
In 2025 and 2018 he was awarded an individual artist fellowship grant from the Mississippi Arts Commission. His work is in the public collection of Woodmere Art Museum, and has been featured in New American Paintings, The Philadelphia Inquirer, and Mississippi Review. He is currently the Foundations Coordinator and an Instructor of Visual Art & Design at Southeastern Louisiana University.
Huckabee’s recent creative activity - spanning painting, drawing, and photography - has explored his curiousity about visual language and thinking through the metaphor of landscape, atmospheric conditions and weather events as being living, malleable structures.
