Gary Prescott was appointed Director of Transportation Services at Southeastern Louisiana University in December 2018, bringing with him over a decade of progressive leadership in campus transportation. He began his career at Southeastern in 2007 as Assistant Director of Shuttle Services and was promoted to Director of Shuttle Services in 2009. In these roles, Prescott has overseen the growth and modernization of the university’s shuttle and parking operations, focusing on safety, accessibility, and efficiency.
A dedicated and engaged member of the campus community, Prescott has served on numerous university committees, including the Institutional Effectiveness Committee, Parking and Transportation Committee, Excel Scholars Committee, Homecoming Planning Committee, and The Mane Experience. His collaborative leadership and student-centered approach have helped shape programs and initiatives that enhance the Southeastern experience for students, faculty, and visitors alike.
Prescott is a proud native of Folsom, Louisiana, and a two-time graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University, holding both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication. His passion for service, strong communication skills, and commitment to continuous improvement have made him a respected leader within the Southeastern community.
