Dr. M. Georgina Little is an instructor of chemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Physics. She received her Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Yale University. For her thesis, she performed spectroscopy on ion-molecule clusters on the nanosecond timescale in a time-of-flight mass spectrometer to learn more about their structure and intermolecular forces. Currently, she is serving as the Interim Department Head.
Dr. Little teaches 1000-level chemistry and physical science courses, especially general chemistry lectures and labs. While no longer active in physical chemistry research, she has continued to study chemistry education. She is interested in active learning methodologies, use of simulations to visualize chemistry concepts and employing technology in the classroom to engage students in large enrollment sections.
