Dr. HoβHoon Lee is a Professor of Engineering Technology at Southeastern Louisiana University. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) in 1991, following his M.S. (1986) and B.S. (1984) in Mechanical Engineering from Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea.
Dr. Lee has held academic appointments at Tulane University (Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering) and the University of Suwon in Korea, as well as industry leadership roles as Senior Researcher and General Manager of the Process Automation Research Team at the Research Institute of Science & Technology in Pohang, Korea. He joined Southeastern Louisiana University in 2007, where he has served as Associate Professor and, since 2016, Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Industrial Technology.
His teaching and research span mechanical design, mechanisms, dynamics and control, mechatronics, robotics, fluid mechanics, and HVAC systems. He has published extensively in these areas, with his work available through Google Scholar.
At Southeastern, Dr. Lee continues to mentor students, lead research initiatives, and contribute to advancing engineering technology education.
