Dr. James Cho is an Assistant Professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Chemistry and Physics. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma. He specializes in the synthesis and application of bio-inspired nanomaterials and hydrogels to address multi-drug-resistant bacterial infections. His research focuses on the selective inhibition of pathogenic bacteria through protein–protein interactions and the development of biocompatible hydrogels.
Research: Selective antibacterial strategies against pathogenic bacteria; protein–nanoparticle interactions and structural characterization for targeted therapeutic systems; biohydrogel.
Teaching: General Chemistry, Biochemistry and Bionanotechnology, with an emphasis on connecting core concepts to innovative biomedical applications.
