𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆
Dr. James Stutts is an Instructor in the Industrial & Engineering Department at Southeastern Louisiana University with over 20 years of teaching experience. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, a Master of Science in Integrated Science and Technology, and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University. His areas of research included the design, construction, and installation of automated guided vehicle systems in manufacturing and warehousing environments, as well as the influence of government, economy, industry, and society on workforce development and Interdisciplinary Education Programs.
Previous experience includes the United States Navy as an Aviation Structural Mechanic - Safety Equipment (AME), he was responsible for the inspection and maintenance of various aircraft systems, such as ejection seats and canopy ejection (egress) systems, gaseous and liquid oxygen systems, fire extinguishing, air conditioning, cabin and cockpit heat, pressurization, and ventilation, oxygen system valves, gauges, converters, and regulators.
After the Navy, he worked for the Pontiac Motor Division of General Motors, where he was responsible for onboard computer diagnostics, Controller Area Network (CAN) peer-to-peer network diagnostics, and drivability of the Pontiac line of automobiles (Southeast Reagan).
Dr James also holds four senior-level certifications from the Association of Technology Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).
