About:
Dr. Lorenzen is an Instructor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics. She earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from the University of Southern Mississippi and has experience teaching both high school and college mathematics. In addition to her work in the classroom, she has coached youth robotics teams since 2016, supporting students in applying problem-solving and teamwork skills in STEM.

Teaching Focus:
Dr. Lorenzen currently teaches Applied Algebra. She focuses on providing clear, structured instruction that helps students build a solid foundation in mathematics.

Area of Expertise

Dr. Lorenzen’s expertise is in teacher education, with a focus on middle and secondary mathematics instruction.
