Dr. Jason Landrum is a film scholar and theorist whose research focuses on the intersection of psychoanalytic theory and American film and television. His most recent publication traces the role of the gothic mode and how it gives shape to twenty-first century anxieties about digital technology by examining three key films from the year 1999--The Matrix, The Blair Witch Project, and The Sixth Sense.
