Dr. Jen Burris is the Department Head and an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Business Administration at Southeastern Louisiana University. She holds a Ph.D. in Management from Louisiana State University. Dr. Burris teaches Negotiation, International Business, Human Resource Management, and Labor Relations, blending academic rigor with practical applications in management.
Her research focuses on sustainability, quality management, organizational performance, leadership, motivation, and negotiation, with particular emphasis on healthcare, service, and manufacturing industries. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, presented at conferences, and contributed to academic proceedings.
Dr. Burris has been recognized with several honors, including the James W. Reddoch Teaching Award, the College of Business Distinguished Scholar Award, and the Joyce Junghans #3 Professorship.
