Jennifer Rowell serves as the Benefits and Training/Development Manager at Southeastern Louisiana University. In this role, she leads the university’s Employee Benefits team, overseeing all aspects of benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement, and related employee programs. She is also responsible for coordinating the university’s training and development initiatives, such as mandatory training, Workday training, and broader professional development efforts across campus.
In addition to her administrative position, Jennifer is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication and Media Studies, where she teaches Introduction to Public Relations and Introduction to Public Speaking. She is passionate about helping students grow as communicators and emerging PR professionals, using real-world scenarios to strengthen their confidence and practical skills.
Jennifer holds two degrees from Southeastern Louisiana University: a bachelor’s degree in business and a master’s degree in Strategic Communication. She is also one of two representatives from Southeastern selected to participate in the University of Louisiana System’s Management and Leadership Institute, a collaborative professional development program with institutions across the ULS system.
