Jennifer White is instructor of Biology and holds a master’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University where her research focused on the dynamic stress response of local freshwater turtles. She currently teaches introductory biology and human anatomy and physiology, both lecture and labs. She believes that students learn best when actively engaged in a topic and therefore emphasizes hands on learning whenever possible and also incorporates real world topics into lectures to help students better connect to the material. She also understands that meaningful learning can happen outside of the classroom and encourages students to connect with her outside of the classroom to continue discussions, ask questions and more fully explore classroom topics.
