Department of World Languages and CulturesDr. Jerry L. Parker is an Instructor of French, Spanish, and World Language Education, program coordinator of World Languages, and Director of the Foreign Language Resource Center. His research centers on issues of curriculum, instruction, leadership, and policy in world language education and higher education. His research uses mixed methods approaches to improve quality, efficiency, and student experience in world language and higher education curriculum, instruction, leadership, and policy. His research has been published in multiple journals including Research Issues in Contemporary Education, The French Review, and Hispania. Dr. Parker has served on various boards and commissions for organizations such as The American Association of Teachers of French, The Louisiana Foreign Language Teachers Association, and the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages. He holds an EdD from Southeastern Louisiana University, an MA from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and an MPA from Southern University and A&M College.
