First-Year Success

Joelle McWilliams is an academic advisor for the Office for First-Year Success. She holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Communication from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with minors in Marketing and Theatre. Currently, Ms. McWilliams is a Ph.D. candidate in Business Administration-Management at the University of South Alabama, with an expected graduation in 2026. She also teaches as an adjunct instructor for the Department of Management & Business Administration at Southeastern and the Department of Management at the University of South Alabama. Her previous experience at Southeastern includes roles as the Assistant Director of Residential Life and an Admissions Counselor and Recruiter.

Advising and teaching SE 1010: First-Year Success Seminar in the Business and Healthcare and Human Studies focus areas.
