Dr. John Woosley teaches Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Management Information Systems, and Statistics. He earned a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS) from Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2009. In addition, he holds Master of Science degrees in both ISDS and Kinesiology (with a concentration in Motor Behavior), as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, all from LSU.
Dr. Woosley’s research has been widely recognized, with publications cited over 500 times, and he has received the Best Paper Award from the Academy of Business Research four times. He is an active member of several academic societies and serves in multiple capacities for journals and conferences. Within Southeastern University, he contributes on various committees and has been recognized by the Athletic Department and student-athletes as a favorite faculty member.
Prior to joining Southeastern, Dr. Woosley gained professional experience as a database administrator and project manager. While at LSU, he competed on the Track and Field team in the Hammer and Weight Throw events and later returned as an Assistant Coach for throwing events. Beyond the university, he continues to coach high school athletes and frequently speaks at coaching clinics across Louisiana.
Dr. Woosley’s expertise is in Pharmaceutical Inventory Control, Logistics, and Healthcare Informatics.
