Julie C. Stovall is a faculty member in the College of Business at Southeastern Louisiana University, where she teaches courses in financial and managerial accounting. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a concentration in Management, a Master of Business Administration, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
Before beginning her academic career, Ms. Stovall gained six years of professional experience working for the State of Louisiana, where she developed a strong foundation in financial operations and accountability. She joined higher education in August 2006, bringing her industry expertise into the classroom to prepare students for real-world success. Her teaching emphasizes both technical proficiency and practical application.
Her research interests include accounting education, and she is a co-author of the article “Do additional assignment attempts increase student learning? Empirical evidence” published in the International Journal of Education Research (2024).
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Stovall enjoys traveling, especially cruises and trips to the mountains, which she finds both rejuvenating and inspiring.
