Department of History and Political ScienceKeith Finley is associate professor of history at Southeastern Louisiana University and the assistant director of the Center for Southeast Louisiana Studies. He is the author of From Slavery to Segregation: Reckoning with White Supremacy in the American South and the award-winning book Delaying the Dream: Southern Senators and the Fight Against Civil Rights, 1938-1965. He has also written numerous book chapters, articles, and encyclopedia entries on American, southern, and Louisiana history.
