Soprano, Kelly Boudreaux, is a dynamic, creative performer and results-oriented teacher with over thirty years of diverse performance, teaching, and business experience. She is regarded as both an exceptional singer and consummate teacher and coach, possessing an innate ability to bring out the best in students ranging from professional to collegiate and elementary settings. Mrs. Boudreaux can be heard on several recordings showcasing her diverse styles and exceptional technique including, Vocal Jazz Standards, Seven Arias for Soprano, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.
Mrs. Boudreaux has appeared in several operatic roles including: “Pamina” and “The First Lady” in Die Zauberflöte, "Fiordiligi" in Cosi fan Tutti, "Helena" in A Midsummer Night's Dream and "Susanna" in Le Nozze di Figaro. Her awards include: Opera 100, Orange County Young Artist of the Year, The Pasadena Opera Guild, Los Angeles Metropolitan Opera Guild area Semi-Finalist, The William Vennard Scholarship, as well as the Freedman and Regent’s Fellowships during her graduate studies.
A graduate of the famed Music Academy of the West, Kelly had the honor to perform and study with world-renowned mezzo soprano, Marilyn Horne. She has also been honored to have worked with Fred Carama, Ward Holmquist, Franz Boerlage, Gary Glaze, Warren Jones, Ed Zambara and Randall Behr. Mrs. Boudreaux and her husband, David, toured South America with the Musica Simfonia de los Angeles. She can be seen performing in the movie “Sister Act 2”and was featured as a regular soloist on the internationally televised “The Hour of Power with Robert Schuller”. Mrs. Boudreaux has performed in concerts with the Women’s Composers Festival of Hartford, Connecticut Lyric Opera, CT Virtuosi Orchestra, California Concert Artists where she performed and recorded Bach’s "Coffee Cantata" and premiered a Gershwin medley for Soprano, Harp & Flute. She also has concertized throughout Florida with trumpeter, Mic Smith which included repertoire of music for Soprano and Trumpet, and she has toured with her husband, David Boudreaux, in a concert series, From Broadway to the Met. While residing in Connecticut Mrs. Boudreaux was invited to perform solo concerts with the St. Brigid, St. Thomas the Apostle and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Churches as well as The Lyceum and Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford, Connecticut and was Cantor for eleven years at the Saint Gianna Parish.
