Leicester Landon received his MFA in Acting and Directing from Brown University in 2013, training in the esteemed Brown/Trinity Rep conservatory program. The intensive curriculum provided a rigorous foundation in style, form, and craft, culminating in a fully conceived original production that he wrote, designed, and performed. His culminating solo work—a multimedia exploration of loneliness in an imagined future—drew from the Science Fiction genre and wove together text from Nina Simone, Will Eno, and William Shakespeare, among others, showcasing both his inventive artistry and interdisciplinary approach.
Leicester’s performance career spans a wide range of stages in New York City, including Dixon Place, The York Theatre, Theater 80 St. Marks, and Theater for the New City. He collaborated with the acclaimed Brooklyn-based theatre company The Civilians on their Research and Development team, contributing to groundbreaking investigative theatre presented at Joe’s Pub and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. He is also a former member of Doric Wilson’s pioneering LGBTQ+ company, TOSOS.
A versatile regional performer, Leicester has appeared in theaters across the country, including Dallas/Fort Worth, Seattle, Boston, Providence, Provincetown, New Orleans, and Vermont. He has also worked in film, most notably under the direction of—and alongside—Academy Award–winner Cuba Gooding Jr.
Committed to global arts engagement, Leicester is a member of Stories for Strength, a nonprofit devoted to theatrical outreach with displaced youth, where he has facilitated projects in Cambodia, Eswatini, and Kenya. He is a founding member of Salvage Art, an ensemble dedicated to socially conscious performance, and is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association.
Leicester’s career reflects a deep dedication to both artistic innovation and community impact, merging performance, collaboration, and global storytelling into a distinctive and dynamic practice
