Dr. Li Peng is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Management and Business Administration at Southeastern Louisiana University. He teaches Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Money and Banking at the undergraduate level.

Dr. Peng’s research applies an institutional analysis framework to address development challenges and international and historical economic puzzles. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Applied Economics Letters, Business Ethics Quarterly, Contemporary Economic Policy, European Journal of Law and Economics, and Journal of Institutional Economics. He has been recognized with the Distinguished Scholar Award in the College of Business in 2023 and 2024.

Dr. Peng holds a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University, and his teaching and research emphasize applying economic theory to real-world questions, preparing students to analyze and understand complex economic issues.
