Dr. Lisa Moody earned her PhD from Louisiana State University where she was a Board of Regents Fellow. She has a Master’s Degree from Northwestern University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago. She was selected for Honors Professor of the Year 2021–2022 by the Honors Student Association and served on the Teaching Excellence Team through the Center for Faculty Excellence 2019–20. She currently serves on the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society Executive board as the Chapter Secretary and is a member of the Honors College Faculty.
She specializes in Nineteenth-Century Literature, both American and British, with a focus on religion and realism. She teaches courses in Ancient Epic, Modern Epic, American Gothic, British Industrial Fiction, American Literature, and Composition.
