About:
Dr. Kabza is a Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematics. She earned her
Ph.D. in Mathematics from Texas A&M University in 1993 under the direction of algebraist C.J.
Maxson and has been a faculty member at Southeastern since 1999. In addition to teaching, she
serves as the Undergraduate Coordinator and Assessment Coordinator for the Department.
Teaching Focus:
Dr. Kabza regularly teaches Calculus I, Calculus II, Abstract Algebra, Linear Algebra, Discrete
Mathematics, Real Analysis, Statistics, Combinatorics, and Precalculus.
Dr. Kabza’s research focuses on rings and nearrings, particularly centers and generalized centers
of nearrings, centralizer nearrings, and the structure of minimal and maximal right ideals of
nearrings. She also studies rings and covered groups.
