He earned his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Florida and later distinguished himself further with an MBA, cementing his reputation as a national authority in school finance. His research agenda is deeply rooted in the critical areas of school finance, law, and public policy. His scholarly work has made profound contributions to these fields, consistently appearing in leading academic journals. His expertise is regularly sought by major media outlets, including The Chronicle of Higher Education, The Wall Street Journal, and Inside Higher Ed, where his insights have significantly influenced public discourse. Throughout his career, Dr. Stedrak has been the recipient of numerous prestigious accolades, notably the National Education Finance Academy's Distinguished Research and Practice Fellowship.
