Department of English and World LanguagesMadeline Massett has been teaching English as a Second Language at Southeastern since January 2025. She received a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and French and a Master’s in The Art of Teaching from Louisiana State University. She also studied abroad in Rennes, France. She received her Teaching English as a Foreign Language certification four years into her career while teaching traditional English at the high school and middle school levels. She then moved to Moscow, Russia and taught English there for two years. Her career also brought her to Boston, Massachusetts, where she taught at an international language school. Ms. Madeline has taught students from over 50 countries and has taught students of all ages, even as young as two years old! Ms. Madeline enjoys learning languages and is an avid Russian language learner. She loves reading, doing puzzles, and especially swing dancing with her husband. She is thrilled to be one of your teachers at Southeastern.
