Dr. Monique LeBlanc is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology. She is a
licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and
adolescents. Dr. LeBlanc’s research areas have involved anxiety/trauma, health, and academic
achievement in children, adolescents, and young adults. For example, she has participated in
research concerning moderators of the trauma exposure-outcome association, as well as clinic
and school-based interventions to increase psychological functioning, academic achievement and
health behaviors in youth. Dr. LeBlanc has a history of collaborating with researchers from the
Pennington Biomedical Research Center on NIH and USDA funded projects. She teaches
courses concerning psychological measurement and clinical psychology. Dr. LeBlanc received a
Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Louisiana State University.
