Dr. Ömer M. Soysal is an associate professor of Computer Science specializing in the Data Science. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at Louisiana State University in 2009. His research focus is application of machine learning in Computational Neuroscience and Computation Biomedicine. He teaches courses in Data Science such as Machine Learning, Data Mining, Database Systems, and Introduction to Data Science. He has an ambition to prepare students for real-world challenges through his teaching and research. He is the founder of Data Science concentration under Computer Science and Integrated Science and Technology.
