Area of Expertise

Professor Hecker is an instructor of LS 1020: Introduction to Information Research. The course introduces students to undergraduate research skills. She believes her role as an LS 1020 instructor is that undergraduates best learn research skills by doing research, thus applying themselves in active learning. Her sections of LS 1020 utilize both objective and subjective assessment to achieve this outcome.
